It’s time to make use of the cherry compote too!
Here is a quick and easy recipe for cherry cake:
Products needed:
- flour – 1 1/2 tsp (200 g)
- butter – 200 g
- bicarbonate of soda – 1 tsp.
- eggs – 5 pcs.
- powdered sugar – 200 g
- cherries – 500 g drained
- Limontuzu – 3 g (1/2 tsp)
Method of preparation
Allow the cherries to drain completely of excess liquid.
Beat the soft butter until it becomes fluffy and add one by one the egg yolks, sugar, flour, bicarbonate of soda, lemon juice.
Beat the egg whites into snow and fold gently into the other mixture.
Grease a baking dish, arrange the cherries and pour the mixture on top. Put to bake in a moderate oven.
Turn the baked cake over and sprinkle with icing sugar if desired or serve with cream or ice cream! ![]()
