Plum cake!

You will need:

  • 12 ripe prunes, pitted and peeled
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 orange (grated peel and orange juice)
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 125 g butter, cubed
  • 150 g flour
  • 25 g oats
  • 3 tbsp chopped toasted hazelnuts
  • cream or ice cream, for serving

STEP 1

Preheat the oven to 160 degrees. Put the plums, cinnamon, orange zest and juice, half the sugar in a bowl and mix. Put the plums in the bottom of a fireproof dish so that they fit snugly and add 50g of the butter.

STEP 2

Stir the rest of the butter into the flour until it becomes coarse sand. In a separate bowl, stir together the remaining sugar, oats and hazelnuts. Sprinkle this mixture over the plums. Bake for 20-25 minutes in a moderate oven. If desired, serve with cream or ice cream. ❤️
